Charles Shininger serves on the Executive Team for Provimi North America, Inc., as a Chief Executive Officer, President and Managing Director. Charles joined Akey, Inc., in 1998 and has progressed through a number of sales, management and leadership roles. He is a native of Ohio and received his Bachelor of Science in agriculture from The Ohio State University.

Dr. Ken Bryant currently serves as Vice President and Technical Manager for Provimi North America, Inc. Ken joined Carl S. Akey, Inc., in 1984 and has held technical and management positions in Nutrition, Technical Services, Research and Development and International Business Development. Ken assists our brands in the rapid deployment of Provimi Nutrition Technology and works with the Purchasing department in building strong supplier relationships. A native of Florida, Ken holds a master’s degree from the University of Florida and a Doctorate from Virginia Tech.

Terry Quinlan joined Provimi North America, Inc. in April 2004, as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, after a 28-year career as a corporate attorney and officer with an international agribusiness company. In 2006, Terry was appointed a Vice President of the company and, in addition to his legal function, assumed management responsibility for Human Resources. Terry is an Indiana native and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor degree from Notre Dame Law School.

Operations Team

Dean Barker, Director of Operations
Dean Barker was named Director of Operations for Provimi North America, Inc., in February 2007. Dean joined the company in January 2004, and during that time has functioned as a Business Consultant, Business Development Manager, and Director of Purchasing. Prior to joining Provimi North America, Inc. he was involved in senior management for over 25 years with Trouw Nutrition and its predecessors. Dean is a native of Indiana and an alumni of Indiana University.

 

 

 

Brett Hartman, Chief Financial Officer
Brett Hartman was named Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Provimi North America, Inc., in February 2007. Brett joined Akey, Inc., in 2000 as the Accounting Manager and has progressed through numerous roles within the finance and accounting area. A native of Ohio, Brett holds a Bachelor of Science in business, majoring in accounting and finance, from Wright State University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

 

 

 

John Dudon, Director of Manufacturing & Transportation
John Dudon joined Carl S. Akey, Inc., in 1982 in the manufacturing area.  Through the years, he worked with shipping and receiving, transportation, and various regulatory groups, including DOT, EPA and OSHA.  He assumed the position of Director of Manufacturing and Transportation in March 2002.

 

 

 

 

Chad Meeks, Director of Materials Management
Chad Meeks was named Director of Materials Management in February 2009, after serving as Assistant Director of Purchasing for Provimi North America, Inc. since June 2008. Chad joined Vigortone Ag Products in 2000 as the Plant Manager in Weatherford, TX and has since served as the Regional Plant Manager in Fremont, NE, Marion, IA, and Lewisburg, OH. A native of Indiana, Chad holds a Bachelor of Science in Business, majoring in management and administration from Indiana University. 

 

 

 

Brett Hart, Director of Customer Care
Brett Hart was named Director of Customer Care for Provimi North America, Inc., in June 2007.  Brett joined the company in 2006.  Brett has experience in supermarket retail and a background in Business Systems Management.  A native of Indiana, Brett holds a Bachelor of Science in management information systems from Bowling Green State University .

Harry Gettelman, Vigortone- General Manager
Harry Gettelman was named General Manager of Vigortone Ag Products in November 2002. Harry is a native of Wisconsin and started with Vigortone in August of 1981 as an Area Sales Manager, and later held positions as a Regional Sales Manager and Unit Manager.

 

 

 

 

Tom Trotter, Progressive Nutrition- General Manager
Tom Trotter was named General Manager of Progressive Nutrition in June of 2003. Tom was previously the Feed Division Manager with a cooperative in Iowa for 23 years. Tom also spent 15 years managing an equine feed business prior to the formation of Progressive Nutrition. A native of Nebraska, Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in agriculture and a master’s degree in nutrition from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.
